Markus Burg
Markus is a 3rd generation winemaker and has been producing wine on the Moselle for over 30 years. Markus' wine career started across the street where his family has been making wine under the name "Burg-Schneider" since 1973.

"My first memory is that when I was 11, I carried the grapes with my father and my brother. Winemaking on the Moselle is in my blood."

Markus trained as a winemaker throughout the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region while working for the family business.
Markus draws his influence on winemaking from his extensive work travels. From the days at UC Davis & Santa Rosa Junior College in California to the castles of Bordeaux.
We are dedicated to producing high-quality, handcrafted wines that capture the unique terroir of our region. We specialize in making wines from steep slope vineyards, which produce exceptional quality wines with distinct character.

Great wine starts in the vineyard. We believe in natural viticulture techniques and work with the vintage we receive. No funny stuff. Just patience and respect for nature.​

Our wines are vegan friendly as no gelatin or egg whites are used to filter or purify our wines. Many of our top quality wines spend years in tanks and barrels. We fear no malolactic fermentation and the complexity of the oak.
